How much Ahab is in you?

The melodic metal band Ember Sea from Hanover announces their latest single "Ahab" for December 16th, 2024. The music video will premiere on the Green Bronto Records YouTube channel the day before. Singer Eva explains: "It's less about the story of "Moby Dick" and more about an insight into the soul of one of the protagonists. A window into Captain Ahab's thoughts and feelings - that's musical painting in very, very deep waters. On the cover? A modern Ahab of our time. Maybe some of us can see themselves in it? We're all a little crazy, vengeful and stubborn at least once in our lives. How much Ahab is in you?"
With "Ahab" Ember Sea shows its epic, orchestral side and stands out from previous releases such as the rockier "Kaleidoscope" (2023). "The song literally screamed for more bombast," says Eva, and the band took the time to create an impressively composed and produced track - without any time pressure.
"We have created one of our most ambitious tracks here, complete with an epic video. However, playing live was definitely neglected, and we are very happy that we are changing that in 2025," the band sums up the outgoing year. The "Chasing Ghosts" tour is already underway and promises numerous highlights for fans.
Ember Sea, consisting of Eva Gerland (vocals), Stefan Santag (guitar), Pablo J. Tammen (bass), Dirk Marquardt (keys) and Enrico Mier (drums), have represented a rousing mix of metal and rock since 2010. Their songs - a combination of sharp riffs, driving rhythms and spherical synthesizers - tell stories of adventure, wild nature and passion.
